The results of the 'Professionals' championship in the 'Recruiting' competence were summarized

The Institute of Management, Economics and Finance of Kazan Federal University hosted the closing ceremony of the regional stage of the Professional Skills Championship “Professionals” of the Republic of Tatarstan in the competence “Recruiting”.

The championship is aimed at scaling up career guidance work, deeper immersion of schoolchildren and students of secondary vocational education organizations in the professions most in demand in the real sector of the republic's economy.

This year's competition is a jubilee one. They have been held annually for five years by the teachers of the Department of Human Resource Management.

In 2020, for the first time in the university, a specialized training center for the competence “Recruiting” was established on the basis of the Institute. Competitors and experts, who were trained on the basis of the center, became winners of regional championships, as well as won silver of the IX International Championship of high-tech professions “Hitech-2022” and bronze of the final championship “Professionals” 2024 (federal level).

“During the time of participation in the championship movement on the basis of the department has formed a community of like-minded people, whose goal is to improve the quality of training of professional recruiters and the development of this profession”, - said the senior lecturer of the department Sergey Pshenichny.

Within the framework of the current championship, competitions were held in the main and junior age categories. In total, more than 30 people took part, 13 contestants: students of the P.V. Dementiev Kazan Aviation and Technical College, TISBI College, schools and lyceums of Kazan, as well as 17 experts from various educational organizations of the city and representatives of employer companies.

“Within the framework of the championship the contestants were able to try themselves as professional recruiters: they independently conducted interviews with representatives of employers of the republic, formed a search map and selected candidates for real vacancies. The mentors had the task not only to support their mentees, but also promptly and objectively, with an emphasis on the specifics of the recruiter's work and the existing realities of the labor market to verify the contest works and identify the strongest”, - said Associate Professor of the Department Alsu Shakiryanova.

The winners and prize-winners in the main age category were students of Kazan Aviation and Technical College named after P.V. Dementiev and Kazan Federal University Evgeny Vasiliev, Anna Vaveikova and Sofia Smirnova.

In the junior category medals were awarded to Arina Drozdikova, Alisa Zhigach and Kamilya Marvarova, representing Gymnasium No. 36, Lyceum No. 35 - Educational Center “Galaxy”, Lyceum No. 78 “Farvater”, respectively.

Alsu Akhmetshina, Director of the Institute of Management, Economics and Finance of KFU, presented medals and diplomas to the winners and prize-winners.

In addition, the participants received congratulations from the championship experts and gifts from the industrial partner - the Association of Personnel Management, and representatives of educational organizations - an opportunity to improve the qualification of their employees through communication with industrial experts and the status of an expert - mentor of the championship movement.

The winners of the regional stage will join the national team of Tatarstan and represent the republic at the federal level.
