Prof. ANATOLE ABRAGAM - May 19, 1994 - a French physicist who wrote The Principles of Nuclear Magnetism and made significant contributions to the field of nuclear magnetic resonance. He was awarded the Lorentz Medal in 1982, the Lomonosov Gold Medal in 1995. Member of the French Academy of Sciences and the President of French Physician Society.
Prof. KARL ALEXANDER MULLER – May 21, 1998 - Swiss physicist who, along with J. Georg Bednorz, was awarded the 1987 Nobel Prize for Physics for their joint discovery of superconductivity in certain substances at higher temperatures than had previously been thought attainable. Emeritus Honorarprofessor of Zurich University (Switzerland).
Prof. BREBIS BLEANEY - May 19, 1994 - a British physicist. His main area of research was the use of microwave techniques to study the magnetic properties of solids. Head of the Clarendon Laboratory at the University of Oxford from 1957 to 1977. In 1992, received the International Zavoisky Award "for his contribution to the theory and practice of electron paramagnetic resonance of transition ions in crystals."
