Academic recognition
Holders of foreign academic certificates and degrees (regardless of their citizenship) are to provide the following documents:
- legalized documents (originals) of received education with a list of studied subjects and corresponding grades which provide the access to the relevant level of higher professional education. These documents should be equivalent to state recognized academic documents.

- a copy (copies) of academic documents certified by a Notary Public together with their translations into Russian.
According to international obligations of the Russian Federation and the Russian Federation legislation, all documents of education and (or) qualification, issued in foreign countries to those who want to study or work in the Russian Federation (irrespective of their citizenship), must pass the recognition procedure.
Documents confirming educational level and (or) qualification, which have been issued in foreign countries, but haven't passed the recognition procedure, are recognized on the territory of the Russian Federation if they fall within international agreements concluded by the Russian Federation See

if such documents are issued by foreign educational institutions included in a list determined by the Government of the Russian Federation See

Recognition of International Academic Documents at KFU
In compliance with international obligations of Russia and Russian legislation, applicants who want to work or study in the Russian Federation should undergo the official recognition procedure for all academic and/or qualifying documentation issued in other countries (regardless of the citizenship).
How to apply for the recognition procedure?
If you plan to work or study at KFU, you may undergo the recognition procedure at the University office:

If you do not plan to work or study at KFU, you should apply to National Information Center on recognition of academic degrees and qualifications in Moscow
or
one of the universities that have the authority to independently recognize foreign education and (or) qualification with a view to organize admittance to these organizations for study and provide an opportunity of professional activity therein for people having foreign education and (or) foreign qualification.
