Excursion-training at Elekon: immersion in lean manufacturing for students of IMEF

On January 28 and 30, the Elekon plant hosted a training tour for students of the Accounting, Analysis and Audit Department of the Institute of Management, Economics and Finance of KFU. The enterprise was visited by first, second and third year students of the program “Audit and Business Performance Management”.

First, the students were shown the enterprise, then they were told the history of the plant and conducted a training session “Fundamentals of Lean Production”, dedicated to the development of a strategy to achieve maximum results at minimum cost. As part of the training the students took part in a business game “Factory of production processes”, where everyone played his role - production manager, production site operator, logistician, economist or quality controller.

The aim of the game is to improve the proposed process in several rounds, using lean production and cost management tools, and to fulfill the plan in time under time constraints. The layout of the game workstations is as close to reality as possible, so the game became a real business simulation. The day ended with a general photo and memorable gifts to the students from Elekon.
