Interactive meeting with a representative of the banking sector

On February 6, 2025, the Department of Financial Markets and Financial Institutions of the Institute of Management, Economics and Finance of KFU was visited by Polina Kiryanova, Head of the direction for work with educational institutions of the Corporate University of Ak Bars Bank.

At the beginning of the meeting Polina Alekseevna made a presentation to the students with a brief history of the bank, emphasizing its leading positions in the banking sector and telling about the digital projects and innovative products implemented by the bank. She paid special attention to the issues of customer service, noting that customer satisfaction largely depends on the competence of employees. According to the speaker, to maintain competitiveness Ak Bars Bank strives for continuous professional development of its staff, including through corporate educational programs. Polina Alekseevna then elaborated on career development opportunities within the bank. She noted that the greatest advantage for young specialists is a flexible system of internships and development, allowing students and graduates to get acquainted with different areas of banking activities: from analytics of financial markets to product management and IT-projects.

Of particular interest was the story about the format of internships for students, which give them the opportunity to start working on real projects at an early stage of their studies, building applied skills and expanding professional contacts. The speaker also shared practical advice on building a career in the banking sector. Confident mastery of data analysis tools, the ability to work in a team and to present their ideas competently - these are the qualities that are especially valued in modern banking. The meeting ended with an interactive financial quiz, where the participants were able to test their knowledge of the bank's activities and financial instruments.

Polina Alekseevna asked questions related to banking products, investment strategies and basics of financial planning. This allowed the students to consolidate the information received in a game form. The winner of the quiz received a commemorative prize from Ak Bars Bank, and all the participants received a charge of inspiration and useful information.
