On April 12, 2025, the Institute of Management, Economics and Finance of Kazan Federal University welcomed future students and their parents as part of the Uniform Open Day. Despite the fact that the official registration started at 10:00, the first guests started arriving as early as 9:00 - among them were families from many regions of Russia.
The event began with tours of the Institute, where applicants and their parents could get acquainted with scientific laboratories, project activities and opportunities for students' self-realization. Each guest could visit the Project Office “World of Science”, Financial Literacy Center.
The Director of the Institute, Alsu Rinatovna Akhmetshina, met the winners and prize-winners of the Olympiads and held a business breakfast with them with a presentation of the opportunities created by the Institute for training students in groups with advanced academic preparation.
Then according to the program in the auditorium of the Institute, which could not accommodate the guests (more than 360 people), there was an open dialogue between the Director of the Institute Alsu Akhmetshina, employers - graduates of our Institute and future applicants. Among the employers were heads of large industries in the sphere of economics and finance:
The moderator of the meeting, Elvira Arslanovna Gatina, asked the participants of the dialog actual questions for joint discussion - How to choose a profession for life? What competencies should a modern graduate in the field of economics and management possess?
Representatives of employers tried to reveal their “recipe” of the right choice of future profession. Each of those present recalled their studies at the Institute with great love and pride and shared their personal stories.
Parents and applicants actively asked questions about training programs and employment prospects.
Yulia Zarvanskaya, a parent from Almetyevsk, shared her impressions:
“We came with our daughter to learn everything about enrollment. We were interested in passing scores and peculiarities of education. We got all the answers and now we have a clear plan of preparation. My daughter was inspired by the atmosphere of the institute - especially after talking to the students”.
A quiz “Economics around us” was held for the guests, where future entrants could test their knowledge and even win prizes. The popular science lecture “The Digital Ruble: What Should We Expect from It?” given by Professor Igor Anatolievich Kokh, Doctor of Economics, aroused great interest and lively discussions.
All the events of the Open Day of the Institute were attended by more than 500 people. This day became a real dialog between future students, teachers and employers.
