On October 27, 2022, there was held an international webinar organized by the Department of Language and Intercultural Communication of the Institute of Philology and Intercultural Communication of Kazan Federal University (Russia) in collaboration with Partap College of Education (India)
This webinar was the first in a new series of international webinars scheduled for the 2022-2023 academic year. For the past three years (2020-2022), only students who pursue their MA degree have traditionally participated in these events. This time, the tradition was "broken” to be added by a new one: the freshmen of the Institute of Philology and Intercultural Communication created and presented a video clip about Kazan, the capital city of the Republic of Tatarstan, since the topic of the webinar was "Cultural Corner. India and Russia: A Tale of Two Civilizations" that allowed them to present their creative project.
The webinar program included 11 presentations prepared by students of both educational institutions, which undoubtedly expanded the horizons of our knowledge of two nations with rich history and culture. The presenters had a good opportunity to share their passion for learning more about two great countries: India and Russia – two ancient civilizations.
The participants and guests of the webinar were welcome by Deputy Director of the Institute of Philology and Intercultural Communication Iskander Yarmakeev, Head of the Department of Language and Intercultural Communication Alsu Ashrapova and Director of Partap College of Education Balwant Singh.
The total number of the participants and guests of the webinar included about 110 students and teachers of the Institute of Philology and Intercultural Communication and Partap College of Education, as well as teachers of Kazan secondary schools.
We hope that this good tradition – the organization of such events by the Institute of Philology and Intercultural Communication of Kazan Federal University (Russia) and Partap College of Education (India) on the topical issues of education – is aimed at a greater understanding of each other’s cultural and educational systems and a more internationalized perspective on teaching and learning processes.
