April 24, 2017 at the Leo Tolstoy Institute of Philology and Intercultural Communication the International Conference “Reflections and Innovations in EFL: Teaching Methods and Assessments” began its proceedings. Among the conference participants are leading experts in the field of the English language teaching and modern methods of assessment.
The guests from all over the world and from other cities of Russia were greeted by Vice-Rector for International Activities Latipov Linar Nailevich, deputy director for scientific activities Yarmakeev Iskander Engilevich and director of the Kazan International Linguistic Center Sadykova Gulnara Vasilovna. The permanent organizer of the conference, full prof. Marina Ivanovna Solnyshkina, welcomed the participants. At the opening of the conference, presentations were made by the representative of the US Embassy in Moscow Gerald Frank (USA), Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, prof. of Higher School of Economics Solovova Elena Nikolaevna (Moscow), Ph.D., assoc. prof. of Russian State Social University Suchkova Svetlana Anatolievna (Moscow). Speakers touched upon the pressing issues of modern teaching methods of language, emphasized the importance of international cooperation of teachers. The speeches aroused a warm response from the audience, the listeners entered into a dialogue with the speakers and rushed to the sectional meetings with interest.
