Abstract
The selected problems and issues of appeal against judgements and decisions of the court in accordance with the Polish Code of Civil Procedure have been considered. Special attention has been paid to the analysis of the latest changes in the system of reconsidering the judicial acts in the appeal and cassation order. It has been revealed that the current system of verifying the legality of judicial acts of both the first and second instances has some gaps that need to be filled to stabilize the work of the justice system. In addition to the discussion of the selected problems related to reviewing the court decisions, the judicial system of Poland and the mechanism of its functioning have been overviewed. It has been concluded that the legislator should interfere by consistent changing of the Polish Code of Civil Procedure rather than introducing amendments based on the verdicts of the Constitutional Tribunal of Poland.
