The second (and final) stage of the Russian Language Olympiad among international university students in Kazan
was conducted in the Institute of Philology and Intercultural Communication (KFU) on the 17th of April 2015.
More than 30 undergraduate and graduate students from 12 countries passed the first (written) stage and participated in oral examination. They were from Azerbaijan, USA, Bosnia and Herzegovina, India, Kazakhstan, China, Nigeria, Poland, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and France.
During discussions participants had to share their opinions with the audience on a range of topics. Though it might be difficult even for native speakers to come up with a speech on an unfamiliar topic in five minutes, both participants and members of jury unanimously admitted that listening to the contestants was a real pleasure.
Russian Language Olympiad offered an opportunity to its participants to creatively apply their knowledge and to check their communicative competence.
Congratulations to this year’s award winners!
