Abstract
The paper describes of the solution to the problem of training lawyers in the modern conditions by increasing their demand in the labor market. Through the analysis of the interrelation between the concepts of “professionalism”, “readiness for professional activity”, “professional competence”, the conditions and factors of increasing the demand for future lawyers have been singled out. The term “demand” with regard to its unclear meaning in relation to university graduates has been defined. Based on the analysis of competences that a graduate student should have, a contradiction has been revealed between the educational process, during which the main attention is paid to the development of certain skills and competences, and the requirements of employers. The model of the demand for professional specialists has been presented, and its components have been described. As a technology for training a highly demanded lawyer, the Professional Career Monitoring and Development Program has been proposed.
Keywords: demand for lawyer, professionalism, readiness for professional activity, monitoring of readiness for professional activity
