Geo-botanic School, which appeared in the 1860s, is represented by the portraits and works by N.F.Levakovsky, one of the forerunners of Geo-botany, S.I.Korzhinsky, the founder of the school and his student and follower A.Ya.Gordyaghin. There are herbariums and photos of A.Ya.Gordyaghin with his students, having their practice, and at the lessons in a classroom.
The name of M.V.Markov, Gordyaghin's disciple, is connected with Geo-botany progress in the XX century. His monograph "Forest and Steppe in Conditions of the Kama River Region" and Doctor's Thesis "Conditions for Flora Growth in Flood-Lands" were of great theoretical and practical value.
The interesting exhibits are the evidence of V.I.Baranov's work, who studied flora of the past, in particular the flora of Tertiary Period. There is also a "tool" of the scientist, a special hammer and samples of rocks and his works. Vladimir Isaakovich was an extraordinary artist and his drawings decorate the stand of the Museum.
The exhibition tells us about the work of the Department of Plants' Physiology, founded in 1932. One can see the portrait of its founder A.M.Alekseyev, who studied water regime of plants, his glass dilatometer, the monograph "Physiological Influence of Drought on Plants", a photograph of his disciples, among them there is I.A.Tarchevsky, a Full Member of the Academy of Science of Russia.
