One of the central places of museum exhibition is occupied by the corner of Nikolay I. Lobachevsky. There is a fine portrait of the scientist, who devoted all his life to the University. The copy of portrait by L.D.Kryukov was made by unknown artist in the end of the XIX century.

Here one can see a small table from Astronomy Observatory, where N.I.Lobachevsky used to work in 1819-1821, substituting astronomer I.M.Simonov. There is a hand-written copy of unfinished textbook and his personal Seal in the form of female head, which has a noble emblem on the other side. The emblem was given to N.I.Lobachevsky in 1838. There are two candles under the green lampshade.

Near the table there is an armchair from Geometry Study and the old clock. The great mathematician used to set his watch by the clock, which still measures time, and a beautiful melody of striking, listened to 200 years ago, charms the museum visitors even now.

There are life editions of genius works by Nikolay Ivanovich in the glass cases, the works which were not understood by his contemporaries, but worldly recognized only fifty years after his death. There are also materials on occasion of the one hundred jubilee of the scientist.

Among them there is a bronze Lobachevsky Memorable Medal, which was given to reviewers of the works submitted for international prize. 
The exhibits let us trace the history of construction and unveiling the Lobachevsky monument, well-known in Kazan.

Kazan School of Mathematics is represented by portraits and works of famous mathematicians. Among them there is A.F.Popov, N.I.Lobachevsky's student and successor who studied hydro-mechanics and dedicated his social activity to mathematical researches and his disciple V.G.Ishmenetsky; A.M.Suvorov supported the ideas of non-Euclidean Geometry; A.V.Vasilyev headed the Kazan Society of Physics and Math for 20 years, and his fruitful life and activity promoted the development of mathematical researches.
