Vice-Rector Linar Latypov met with the Ambassador on 4th March.
As usual, Dr. Latypov briefly introduced Kazan University with a special focus on priority research areas. According to the existing data, 156 publications have been co-authored by Kazanian and Egyptian colleagues since January 2015.
Professor Mohammed Al-Ammari opined that that KFU should more actively promote cooperation with leading Egyptian universities in Alexandria and Cairo, especially in light of the year 2020 having been announced the Year of Humanitarian Cooperation between Russian and Egypt.
Ambassador Nasr replied, “Our interactions should be based on person-to-person cooperation. As for the Year of Humanitarian Cooperation, it’s both a challenge and an opportunity.”
As of 2019, there are 59 Egyptian nationals at Kazan University, including 10 doctoral candidates and 40 preparatory schoolers.
