The memorandum covers the upcoming opening of Rostec Training Center at KFU.
Kazan University was chosen by the partners for its versatile research capabilities in radio physics, radio electronics, space observation, and medicine. Deputy General Director of Rostec Dmitry Shugaev, in particular, said that the company plans to base radio electronics education center at KFU. Rostec itself can be one of the biggest customers for said center. The signed memorandum is the starting point for this process.
President of Rohde & Schwarz Christian Leicher shared that Tatarstan has always been regarded by the company as an important center of high-tech industry. This is the main reason for R&G’s branch office to be located in Kazan. R&G, he added, prides itself for being able to maintain fruitful cooperation with Russian partners lately, paying special attention to scientific projects.
After the signing the three sides discussed their nearest plans for the Center. The project will take three years to come into full force. However, the educational component will be ready to launch in 2017.
