Nail Mukharyamov is a graduate of Kazan State University (Faculty of History and Philology). He took his PhD at Kazan State University and performed doctoral studies at Moscow State University.
During his academic career Nail Mukharyamov worked as Assistant Professor of Kazan State University, Professor of Kazan Branch of Moscow Power Engineering Institute, Head of Department of Political Science and Law of Kazan State Power Engineering Institute.
He was awarded the medal "In memory of the 1000th anniversary of Kazan" and the title of Honoured Science Worker of the Republic of Tatarstan. He is an author of 193 published papers and more than 27 methodological works.
Let us recall that the decision to create Institute of Mass Communications and Social Science on the basis of Faculty of Journalism and Sociology was approved by KFU Academic Council in October.
Introducing new Director Andrei Khashov, Vice-Rector for Administrative Affairs - Head of Staff expressed acknowledgment to Vasil Garifullin, the Dean of Faculty of Journalism and Sociology for his work at such a difficult time of reorganizing the University and wished him further success. Vasil Garifullin who has acted as the dean during 11 years is going to continue his research on national journalism as the head of the department of Tatar journalism.
Nail Mukharyamov expressed hope for beneficial cooperation and said the key phrase: "We need to define the vision of the Institute’s present and future.
We live in an information society, and a lot depends on how people's minds build the picture of reality. This should be done by the high-class professionals on the basis of reliable social knowledge. The plans of the Institute’s development should be worked out in cooperation with my colleagues”.
