The social event on 23rd October was dedicated to the 215th anniversary of Kazan University and 220th anniversary of Alexander Pushkin.
The morning schedule involved 6th to 8th grade pupils, and in the afternoon the floor went to 9th – 11th graders.
As Director of the KFU Lobachevsky Lyceum Yelena Skobeltsyna commented, the balls have been organized since 2003.
This year’s event was not limited to just dancing. In fact, it was a role-playing function, where young men presented themselves as Alexander Pushkin, Nikolay Lobachevsky, Emperor Nicholas I and other notable historical figures. The ladies chose fictional characters, such as Pushkin’s Tatyana Larina or Tolstoy’s Anna Karenina.
In the end, ball king and ball queen were elected by the participants.
