Rector Ilshat Gafurov met with the accreditation commission on April 27th. He gave some comments on the Russian higher education system and KFU's place within this framework.
Dr. Gafurov talked about four priority areas selected by the University for its competitiveness program. MBA School is of major significance for the University. Its programs are now being adjusted according to the top companies' requirements. The last example is a new MBA module for the resource extracting industries.
KFU has a rich history of cooperation with the leading Russian and foreign companies. The MBA program aims to coordinate fundamental research and industry in order to make full use of the University's capabilities.
A draft project of the new MBA School building that is currently under construction was presented to the guests.
In his response the head of the commission Jyoti Prakash Gupta said that higher education in the Republic of Tatarstan is evidently one of the political priorities. He expressed his confidence in the MBA School being one of the drivers of the progress of Kazan and Tatarstan.
The commission will spend four days in Kazan and will give some preliminary recommendations in conclusion.
