The induction agreement was reached during the ongoing BERA Conference in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
BERA's interest towards KFU is based on the KFU's involvement in topical research, such as educational segregation, migrant children education, deviant behavior, ethnopedagogy, and others.
Joining the Association is a result of a two-year work by the Institute of Psychology and Education; this work included the presentation of current research during KFU's exclusive panel during BERA Conference 2014 in London and the successful showing of the University's potential during International Teachers Education Forum in Kazan in 2015. Ian Menter, President of BERA, was among the guests of the latter event.
Membership in BERA will allow the Kazan side to take part in European comparative studies. First results of such participation were achieved even before the signing of the relevant documents.
Moreover, Roza Valeeva, Head of the Department of General and Social Pedagogy, became the leading expert on Russian affairs in the British Journal of Educational Technology and is now a full participant of a number of international projects.
The Institute of Psychology and Education now works on entering the European Educational Research Association and the American Educational Research Association.
