A second team of HNU employees this week arrived on Friday.
The delegation was headed by Vice-Rector of HNU Li Dazhi. Kazan University was represented by Vice-Rector Linar Latypov and several institute executives, including Director of the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics Yekaterina Turilova.
Dr. Latypov said that he wants to see new joint projects in natural sciences, which are long overdue after 25 years of successful cooperation in language and literature studies. Aide to the Rector Yury Nurmeev then proceeded to show the university presentation in Chinese.
Vice-Rector Li Dazhi thanked everyone for the warm welcome and agreed that the two sides should pay more attention to biology, chemistry, physics, math, and IT. Dr. Latypov urged Chinese colleagues to yield maximum use from KFU's rich infrastructure.
The two teams then split in two groups – one discussed musical education, the other engaged in talks about mathematics and IT.
In a pleasant surprise encounter, Director of the Higher School of Russian Language and Intercultural Communication Tatyana Bochina was glad to see her former student Zeng Zihe, now working at the International Cooperation Office of Hunan Normal University.
