The tradition to celebrate Victory Day by a big parade was continued this year.
Kremlyovskaya (Kremlin) Street, where the University's main campus is located, was closed for traffic in the morning. Starting at 11 am, several thousand students, employees, and war veterans marched from the Kremlin to the University’s Main Building.
This time, the march included many international students from different continents. Also, an honor battalion of other federal universities joined the walk.
KFU alumni who joined the event were Vice-Premier of Tatarstan Leyla Fazleeva, Vice-Chairman of the State Council of Tatarstan Rimma Ratnikova, and several deputies of the State Council and Russian State Duma.
Many congratulations and memorable words were extended to the public, first and foremost to the attending veterans. The student march, as always, became a powerful symbol of unity and patriotism.
