The meeting was held on 24 November at Kazan Federal University.
The rectors were joined by Chief Federal Inspector in Tatarstan Viktor Demidov and Minister of Education and Science of Tatarstan Ilsur Khadiullin.
Apart from Presidential Grants for Young Scientists, the event also included giveaways of various awards and commendations from the Council of Rectors and the Republic of Tatarstan.
24 young people won grant funding this year, to which Rector Ilshat Gafurov, Chairman of Council of Rectors of Tatarstan, reacted, “We are the first in the Volga Federal District in this competition, and I am immensely proud for our talented young researchers.” Notably, 6 of the 24 winners are from Kazan Federal University. The grant certificates were given out by Federal Inspector Demidov, who thanked the rectors for their productive work.
After that, Minister Khadiullin gave out lapel pins ‘For the 100 Years of Tatar Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic’ to the members of the Council of Rectors.
