A meeting with Rector Ilshat Gafurov was held today.
The Rector talked about KFU's current priorities, professional training, and integration of science and teaching. He said, “If we speak about integration of different areas, entrepreneurship education is of special importance to us. That’s why there are basic courses in economics included in every curriculum. Higher School of Business has an important role in all of this as a center of knowledge and competence.”
The delegates had visited the HSB campus before they arrived to the meeting. A large-scale renovation is in the plans after the FIFA World Cup. The layouts of future buildings have been approved, and permits have been acquired.
To this, group head and a member of the International Accreditation Advisory Board, Luis Torras Arruga, replied, “I didn’t know how difficult Kazan University’s road has been, and I am glad to see this high level that you have achieved.”
AMBA is the oldest of the three major business education accreditation agencies, having been established in 1967. As of now, over 200 MBA schools in 80 countries have been accredited, including 9 in Russia.
KFU Higher School of Business has been active since 2000. 756 executives have graduated from it so far.
The AMBA commission intends to hold further visits within the University today and tomorrow.
