The conference, held on November 15th - 17th, is a part of the Lobachevsky Year schedule.
The co-organizers are KFU, History of Fatherland Foundation, Ministry of Education and Science of Tatarstan, Tatarstan Academy of Sciences, Baltic International Academy LLC, and Kazan Open University of Talents 2.0.
This conference includes two main panels – on historical education and on the role of young scientists in the popularization of history. As Deputy Director of the Institute of International Relations, History and Oriental Studies Rail Fakhrutdinov noted, the idea of the forum was put forth in August 2016. It aims to modernize pedagogical and historical education with the involvement of young researchers.
Over 300 experts have arrived to participate from Russia, Germany, Latvia, France, USA, Turkey, Syria, Iran, China, South Korean, Pakistan, Zambia, Guinea, India, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Belarus, and Georgia. The age spectrum covers everyone, from students to experienced professors.
The forum also tackles popularization of historical knowledge about provinces of Russia. In Tatarstan’s case, KFU is the head organization for this work, including the issuance of new textbooks with interactive add-ons for middle schools.
