On January 25, 2025, the award ceremony for the winners of the 20th Republican Prize "Student of the Year of the Republic of Tatarstan" was held. The prize has been awarded to students since 2005 and is aimed at supporting talented students in higher education institutions of Tatarstan. This year, 198 students took part in the competition in 20 nominations.
Artem Apurin, an employee of the Laboratory of Intelligent Robotic Systems (LIRS) and a postgraduate student of the Institute of Information Technology and Intelligent Systems (ITIS) of Kazan Federal University (KFU), became the winner in the nomination "IT-Discovery". The competition required the presentation of an author's project in the field of digitalization: "I liked the award ceremony, everything was well organized, it was interesting. I am very glad that I managed to win in the "IT-discovery" nomination," Artem said, "At the competition I talked about myself and what I do, talked about our robot "ArtBul", which we are developing for KFU clinic’s robotization. I am very pleased that I was able to show the results of my work, and the jury of the competition rated them so highly."
Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Airat Gatiyatov, Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan Farid Mukhametshin, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Leyla Fazleeva, assistant to Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan Timur Suleimanov, Minister of Youth Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan Rinat Sadykov and President of the Tatarstan Academy of Sciences Rifkat Minnikhanov also visited the ceremony.
