Head of LIRS took part in meeting of Association for Promotion of Digital Development

On March 31, 2025, a meeting of the Association for the Promotion of Digital Development was held with the participation of Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov on the issue of the application and development of artificial intelligence in the republic. The event was also attended by the President of the Tatarstan Academy of Sciences Rifkat Minnikhanov, Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan Farid Mukhametshin, Deputy Prime Minister - Head of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan Shamil Gafarov, Minister of Digital Development of Public Administration, Information Technology and Communications of the Republic of Tatarstan Airat Khairullin, Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan Ilsur Khadiullin and President of Kazan Federal University Riyaz Minzaripov. During the meeting, promising projects of KFU using artificial intelligence were presented, and then a round table was held on the topic "Ensuring data security in the context of digitalization, development of artificial intelligence and increasing responsibility of organizations for the protection of personal information."

Head of the Laboratory of Intelligent Robotic Systems (LIRS) and Head of the Intelligent Robotics Department of the Institute of Information Technology and Intelligent Systems (ITIS) of Kazan Federal University (KFU) Evgeni Magid took part in the meeting and made two reports: "Robotization of Medical Institutions" and "Use of Industrial Robots Together with People". In his speech, he presented the laboratory's projects: the creation of the first robotic "smart hospital" in the Russian Federation on the basis of the KFU Medical and Sanitary Unit, for which two robots, "ArtBul" and "ArNi", are already being developed, and the development of safe use of industrial robots in a shared workspace with people.
