From December 4 to 6, 2024, the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center Layout hosted the global metalworking forum "TEMP" (meaning "metalworking technology in industry"), organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tatarstan with the support of the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan and Investment Development Agency of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Head of the Laboratory of Intelligent Robotic Systems (LIRS) of the Institute of Information Technologies and Intelligent Systems (ITIS) of Kazan Federal University (KFU), Professor Evgeni Magid, gave a report on "Projects of the Institute of Information Technologies and Intelligent Systems of Kazan Federal University for robotic production" as part of the panel session "Robotized Russia. Science and Education, Industry and Business". The event's speakers also included Airat Faskhutdinov, Director of the KAMAZ PTC Technology Center, Irina Akhmetova, Vice-Rector for Development and Innovation at Kazan State Power Engineering University (KSPEU), Igor Semakov, Director for Development of Eidos Robotics, Dmitry Demyanov, Associate Professor of the Department of Automation and Control at the Naberezhnye Chelny Institute of Kazan Federal University, and Sergey Dallada, Director of the Industrial Robotics Development Center at Innopolis University.
The discussion topics included optimization of production processes using machine learning algorithms, improving product quality using computer vision and deep learning systems, future development and challenges of implementing AI, including the need for investment and ensuring cybersecurity, etc.
The business event was organized by Eidos Robotics, engaged in the robot production, development of technological solutions and software.
