Within the framework of this programme, we train specialists who are able to analyse, interpret and create various types of oral and written texts in Russian; to carry out editorial and proofreading work with various types of written texts in Russian; to participate in the compilation of language guides of various types, in the description of archival materials, in the literary and critical process. Our graduates will be prepared to take part in scientific, educational and public relations projects in the field of philology and humanitarian knowledge; to participate in research in the field of applied philology (vocabulary, computer linguistics, neurolinguistics, psycholinguistics, linguistic examination of the text, writing of critical literature, reviewing, etc.).

This programme is focused on the training of philologists in the field of the Tatar language and literature, journalists for the work in the various media in the Tatar language.
The uniqueness of the programme is resulted from the combination of a theoretical and practical approach to the training of specialists. On the one hand, graduates gain deep knowledge in the field of Tatar philology; on the other hand, some disciplines are distinguished by an applied approach and provide practical skills for working as a journalist in regional mass media, and for preparing various types of texts. We invite well-known practicing journalists to read lectures for the journalist disciplines. During the internship, students receive teaching skills in educational institutions and journalist practice in the editorial offices of Tatar magazines, newspapers and television.
