On September 16, 2025, second-year students of the Intelligent Robotics Master's program of the Institute of Information Technology and Intelligent Systems (ITIS) of Kazan Federal University (KFU) attended a practical lesson on Industrial Robotics using the KUKA KR3 robotic arm. Joining Elvira Chebotareva, Associate Professor of the Department and Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, and Aidar Zagirov, a postgraduate student of the Laboratory of Intelligent Robotic Systems (LIRS), the students received instructions on how to operate the arm and completed their first practical task of operating the robot.
"Working with the KUKA robot was straightforward and engaging," shared Master's student Anastasia Mashnina, "The control is completely remote; touching the robot is not necessary or even permitted. The only thing, it’s better to avoid high speeds, as it looks quite dangerous, even if you’re standing at a distance from the KUKA.”
