Transport and map
IMPORTANT! THERE ARE TWO RAILWAY STATIONS IN KAZAN:
KAZAN PASSAGIRSKAYA and VOSSTANIE PASSAGIRSKAYA.
How to get the venue (the university):
If you arrive at the railway station (KAZAN PASSAGIRSKAYA), then please use map of the center of Kazan. Railway station is not far from the university and it takes about 30 minutes by foot. Also it's possible to use a bus (№10, №10A, №30, №63, №91) or trolleybus (№7). Please exit at the stations "metro Tukay square" or "University", then note two high buildings (the first and the second buildings of the university). Then please guide by map of the university and map of the center. Please don't accept to go with volunteer taxi drivers near the railway station, it can be dangerous!
If you arrive at the railway station (VOSSTANIE PASSAGIRSKAYA), then please use metro. The nearest station is very close to the railway station. Start from the station "Severnii vokzal" ("North railway station") and exit at "Tukay square station". Note two high buildings (the first and the second buildings of the university), then please guide by map of the university and map of the center. Please don't accept to go with volunteer taxi drivers near the railway station, it can be dangerous!
If you arrive at the airport, then it's possible to order a taxi (there is taxi "Tatarstan" which costs around 600 roubles from the airport to the center, tel. 5671567 and there are a lot of its cars in the airport). Also there are official taxi counters (it costs around 1000 roubles). Please don't accept to go with volunteer taxi drivers near the airport exit, it can be dangerous!
There is an express train from the airport to the railway station (KAZAN PASSAGIRSKAYA), the price is around 200 roubles.
How to get from the university to the accommodations.
Hotels "Hayall" and "Ibis" can be get in a few minutes by foot.
To get to the dormitory №1 and dormitory №3 please guide by map with the main objects of the conference (university, stations, hotels, dormitory).
Village of Universiade are not far from the metro station "Prospect pobedy" ("Victory avenue"). Also it's possible to take buses №47, №74A or trolleybus №8. Please note the entrance of Village of Universiade.
