University and SNGPR Consulting to cooperate on smart micro-containers for oil industry
The sides signed an agreement on March 18.
Rector Ilshat Gafurov and Director of SNGPR Consulting Anatoly Zamriy put their pens to paper during a regular meeting of the KFU’s Academic Council.
Ilshat Gafurov noted the ever-growing importance of smart tech for the petroleum industry, especially in light of depletion of deposits and environmental pollution.
Micro-containers are one example of a Russian-made technology set to help in alleviating such problems. Mr. Zamriy spoke briefly about the product – nano-capsules encased in bio-degradable cover and tasked with transporting specific compounds to their target without harming the environment.
KFU will serve as a research partner for this project.
