The results were announced on 14th December in Belgorod at the national forum “Flagship Universities – Drivers of Regional Development”.
In total, 51 universities from 38 federal subjects are listed as successful applicants in this project, which was first announced in October 2016. 121 institutions have tried their luck, including several from Tatarstan. Of the latter, only KFU and Kazan National Research Technical University were chosen.
The first stage will now kick off which comprises infrastructural changes for innovative research, technology transfer, and youth entrepreneurship. The government will provide financial support.
As we have noted in many previous publications, KFU has already implemented many of the planned reforms in its University 3.0 (education – research – industrial cooperation) strategy. For its efforts in this regard, the University was awarded among the ten best yesterday in Moscow.
