Only students of non-linguistic majors are eligible for this particular national championship.
The contest has been held by KFU for thirteen years. Its main co-organizers are the Higher School of Foreign Languages and Translation and the Department of Youth Policy.
More than 800 participants have arrived this year to test their abilities in three main nominations: “Polyglot” (two or more languages), “Translator” (one language), and “Junior” (one language). The languages available this year are English, German, French, and Spanish.
The contestants were greeted by First Vice-Rector Riyaz Minzaripov, Director of the Department of Youth Policy Yuliya Vinogradova, Director of the Higher School of Foreign Languages and Translation Diana Sabirova, and Chair of the Department of Foreign Languages in Social Sciences and Humanities Anastasiya Fakhrutdinova.
The competition is being held on December 5th – 6th.
