Rector Ilshat Gafurov is a part of a delegation attending 14th World Islamic Economic Forum in Astana.
During the forum, a number of documents are to be signed between Tatarstan and Kazakhstan, two close partners in business and trade. In particular, two key universities agreed to join forces in education and science.
The memorandum mentions academic exchange, bilateral educational programs, business simulation, educational game platforms, and distance training. The sides will also share experience in methodology and publishing activities. Pens were put to paper by Rector of KFU Ilshat Gafurov and Rector of APA Fatima Zhakypova. Cooperation efforts will start promptly.
Meanwhile, KFU continues to widen its partnership network in the neighboring country. Earlier today, Rector Gafurov also visited Nazarbayev University. This young institution was established in 2010 by President Nursultan Nazarbayev and concentrates on breakthrough projects. NU and Kazan University have been cooperating in translational medicine since 2016. Today, the guests, including Rector Gafurov, toured Nazarbayev University's campuses, labs, and the IT Center. Students presented their best ideas to the delegation.
