A meeting was held on November 29th.
Among other things, the Minister supported KFU's initiative to hold a national Korean language contest. The University and its Center for Korean Studies have long been cooperating with South Korean colleagues, including Shinhan University, Seoul National University, Kookmin University, Gimcheon University, Pusan National University, and others.
A project in Korean studies was launched in June 2016 under the helm of Professor Go Yeong-cheol. The project is supported by the Academy of Korean Studies. A second native speaker from South Korea arrived to teach at KFU with the support of the Korea Foundation.
As we have announced recently, King Sejong Korean Language School is scheduled for opening in April 2018. Minister Ha praised this step as another way to stimulate interest to Korean language and culture.
