A delegation headed by Rector Zhasulan Kudaybergenov visited on 22nd August.
Kazan University was represented by Rector Ilshat Gafurov, vice-rectors Dmitry Tayursky and Nayil Kashapov.
The two institutions have a cooperation agreement, and the objective now is to flesh them out with individual projects. Among the topics of mutual interest are bioengineering, geoinformatics, and unmanned vehicles. Double diplomas and joint research were also discussed.
Of course, there is more ground to cover, and representatives of KFU institutes emphasized that during yesterday’s talks. This includes physics, IT, geology, and mathematics.
After the negotiations, the Kazakhstani colleagues proceeded to tour laboratories engaged in the aforementioned subject areas.
