About 200 guests from different countries are attending.
The conference, taking up June 25th – 30th, also includes a workshop for young scientists and an international workshop called «Phase Transitions and Heterogeneous Conditions in Oxides 2017».
The co-organizers of this triennial event are Ministry of Education and Science of Russia, Federal Agency for Scientific Organizations, Russian Academy of Sciences, Kazan Federal University, and Kazan Physical-Technical Institute.
The event's 10 panels are dedicated to multiferroics, physics and technology of domain walls and structures, thin films, nanoparticles, and heterostructures. Natrually, practical applications of ferroelectrics will also be discussed.
The plenary session’s scientific part on June 26th was represented by RAS Academician, President of Moscow Technological University Alexander Sigov and Professor of Southern Federal University Vladimir Mukhortov. Young researchers make up almost half of the participants this time, which is a sign of an active development of ferroelectrics science and solid state physics.
