The 11th International Conference on Automation, Robotics, and Applications (ICARA 2025) was held in Zagreb, Croatia, on February 12–14, 2025. Members of the Laboratory of Intelligent Robotic Systems (LIRS) of the Institute of Information Technology and Intelligent Systems (ITIS) of Kazan Federal University (KFU) Elvira Chebotareva and Niyaz Imamov, undergraduate student Adel Mukhametshin, and Head of LIRS Evgeni Magid prepared and presented a report at the conference. The topic of the report was “Object Localization Based on a Single RGB Camera for a 4-DOF Robotic Arm”.
Elvira Chebotareva spoke about the direction and results of the work:
"Our work is devoted to a very relevant task at the present time - the use of monocular computer vision for capturing objects by robotic manipulators. We have developed our own model of an educational manipulator and proposed a new method for refining metric depth maps constructed using a single RGB camera."
Head of Intelligent Robotics Department at the Institute of ITIS KFU Evgeni Magid participated as the chairman of the program committee of the ICARA2025 conference.
