Ilya Afanasyev
Assistant Professor
Ilya Afanasyev was an Assistant Professor in Institute of Information Technology and Intelligent Systems, Kazan Federal University, Russia and is a team leader and an expert of Huawei's Media Algorithm Team (MAT) in St. Petersburg Research Center. He graduated in Engineering at Baltic State Technical University (BSTU), Russia, in 2000, and received his Ph.D. in Technical Science at Vavilov State Optical Institute, St. Petersburg, Russia, in 2006. In 2010-2013 he won a personal Marie Curie grant (?149,000) and worked as a postdoc in Mechatronics Lab at the University of Trento, Italy. In 2015-2021, he worked as an Assistant Professor in Robotics Institute, Innopolis University, Russia, teaching courses in Mobile Robotics and Sensors for Master Students and Bachelors in English. He worked also in industry: in German company “Giesecke & Devrient GmbH” (Senior Engineer, 2007-2010), and Emirate's company “TGT Gas and Oilfield Service” managing RND projects on software and downhole tools development. His main research interests have revolved around Sensors, Perception, Mobile Robotics, and Autonomous Systems. He has published 3 patents and more than 50 papers indexed in Scopus and WoS. He is a reviewer for IEEE T-ASE, IEEE RA-L, IFAC, IEEE CASE, IEEE Access, MDPI Sensors and other conferences and journals. He has 7 years experience in Teaching as an Assistant Professor; 10+ years project, product and people management; 20+ years in RND for both academy and industry.

Lilia Gavrilova
Research assistant
Graduated from the comprehensive school with a gold medal. In 2018 obtained a bachelor degree in Philology from Kazan Federal University (KFU). In 2020 she completed a master master's degree in Education at KFU. Lilia deals with LIRS project activities and superwise the "Human-Robot Interaction" research area. She speaks English and Tatar languages. Best student paper award 2019 at the International conference IEEE DeSe-2019.

Angelica Iskhakova
Research Assistant
In 2017, she graduated from Gymnasium No. 1 named after Riza Fakhretdin in Almetyevsk. In 2021, she received a bachelor's degree from the Institute of International Relations of Kazan Federal University. Angelika is responsible for administrative and research support at the LIRS. She speaks English and German.

Dinir Imameev
Research Assistant
In 2017 graduated from comprehensive school and started studying at the KFU at Higher Institute of Information Technologies and Intelligent Systems. At the lab, Dinir researches in area of algorithm development and implementation for mobile robot Avrora Unior.
Has a big experience in the field of development on programming languages: C/C++, Python, Java. He speaks English, Japanese languages.

Artur Khazetdinov
Research Assistant
In 2014 Artur graduated from the "Secondary school No. 27" in Naberezhnye Chelny. In 2019 received his bachelor's degree with the speciality of “Applied Information Science” at the Institute of Information Technology and Intelligent Systems of KFU. The same year he was enrolled in master program in Intelligent Robotics. Artur speaks English. Artur is engaged in research work at LIRS in the direction of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Also he works with such software languages, as C/C++, Java, Python, SQL, PHP, Ruby (Ruby on Rails).

In 2017 graduated from the multidisciplinary lyceum №1 of Magnitogorsk and started her studies toward a bachelor degree with the speciality of "Software engineering" at the Institute of Information Technologies and Intelligent Systems of KFU. Currently Arina is a graduated Bachelor degree student. She was engaged in scientific research at LIRS on an anthropomorphic robot. Arina speaks English language, programming languages: Java, C ++, C#, SQL.

Maxim graduated from lyceum №35 in 2017. Now he is studying at the Higher Institute of Information Technologies and Intelligent Systems of KFU. He actively works with computer vision and robotic manipulators.
He knows programming languages: Java, C++, Python; also speaks Russian, English, German, studies Norwegian and Japanese.

Leysan Sabirova
Research associate
In 2012 Leysan graduated from "Oriental Studies. African Studies" Program at Kazan Federal University. Leysan was engaged in administrative support of LIRS, and coordinated the project "Localization, mapping and searching for a path for an unpiloted ground robot (UGR) with the help of a group of unpiloted aerial vehicles (UAV) using active collective technical vision and planning in a common trust area of group of robots." Leysan speaks English.

Artur Sagitov
Research associate
In 2011, Artur graduated from the Kazan State Technical University after A.N. Tupolev on speciality of "Applied Mathematics and Informatics". Arthur has experience working in such industrial companies as ICL KPO VS, where he was engaged in the development of relational database management system, and TGT OilfieldServices, where he developed software for the needs of geophysical research. From 2015 to 2016 he worked as a research engineer at the Laboratory of Intellectual Robotic Systems of the University of Innopolis, where he was one of the main executors of the project "Development and research of complex of software solutions for creation of energy-efficient control systems for the movement mechanics of anthropomorphic robotic complexes based on the control of static and dynamic equilibrium." Since 2016, he was a nassistant researcher at the Higher School of ITIS KFU. Artur speaks English.

Ksenia Shabalina
Research associate
Ksenia studied at the secondary school № 19 specialized in advanced curriculum of classes in the city of Naberezhnye Chelny. Currently she studies at the Higher Institute of ITIS KFU. She worked for BARS Group as a Junior Quality Engineer. She took part in an open competition of scientific works among students studying for the N.I. Lobachevsky. In 2017, she took the 2nd place in the Competition for the best scientific work of students of KFU in engineering and technical direction. Ksenia speaks English, programming languages: C #, C ++.

Aufar Zakiev
Research assistant
In 2013 Aufar graduated from gymnasium № 36 "Zolotaya Gorka" and was awarded with a gold medal. In the same year he was a won the city Olympiad in physics and at Unified State Exam he got maximum score of 100 in physics. In parallel with studies, he worked as an administrator at Khakspace company and was responsible for prototyping (3D printing, laser cutting) at the private robotic technopark "Navigator Campus". Aufar has an experience in teaching robotics to children (LegoNXT + Labview, ScratchDuino + Scratch, Arduino + WiringC) in the robotics club for children "Tekhnoklass". He graduated from the Higher Institute of Information Technologies and Intelligent Systems (ITIS) of KFU with bachelor's and master's degree with major in“Software engineering”. He is involved in scientific research on swarm robotics and teaches a C++ course. Aufar speaks Tatar, English and German languages, programming languages: Java, C ++, (also CUDA C, OpenMP and MPI). PhD student in Robotics since 2019.

Shifa Sulaiman

In 2011, Shifa graduated from the Cochin University of Science and technology (CUSAT), India and received a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. In 2013, she received her Master's degree in Machine Design from Mahatma Gandhi (MG) University, India. During Bachelor's and Master's degree programs, she received the minority welfare scholarship granted by government of India. From January 2013 to December 2017, Shifa worked as an Assistant Professor in various Indian Engineering Institutes. Since December 2017, she has been doing PhD at National Institute of Technology, Calicut, India, specializing in Humanoid Robotics. She has experience in C++ and Python programming languages. She speaks English and a number of Indian Languages.

In 2020, he graduated from the Moscow Polytechnic University, received a master's degree with honors in the specialty "Informatics and Computer Engineering" in the profile "Computational linguistics". During the master's degree, he was engaged in the Russian sign language semantics mining using special lexical resources and databases.

She studies the specifics of literary text translation into English and Chinese languages. She got a merit-based scholarship to study for one academic year in the United States of America at Lewis Clark State College, where she spent a year in 2021-2022.
