An employee of the Laboratory of intelligent robotic systems (LIRS) of the Higher Institute of Information technologies and intelligent systems (ITIS) Aufar Zakiev, who is also a 2-year post-graduate student in the field of "Computer Science and Engineering", became one of the five winners of the competition for the setting of the President of the Russian Federation scholarship. Only full-time post-graduate students could enter a competition. The scholarship is awarded for 1 academic year.
Aufar is a teacher of several bachelor degree courses: he teaches "Introduction to C++ programming" and “C++ programming” to the second-year bachelor students of the Higher Institute of ITIS, as well as “Medical Informatics” to the third-year bachelor degree students of the Institute of Fundamental Medicine and Biology. Aufar also conducts research very actively: for now, he has published 8 articles indexed in the Scopus citation database (including Q2 issues), 4 articles indexed in the Web of Science scientific citation database, and 4 articles in the RSCI, bibliographic database of scientific publications in Russia. According to the Scopus, Aufar’s h-index equals 2. Aufar has a key role in two RFBR grants. Moreover, he became a finalist in the annual student competition “Student of the year of KFU – 2019” in the category “Best graduate student in the field of natural and physical and mathematical sciences”. Professor Evgeni Magid is an academic advisor of Aufar's candidate’s dissertation on the topic “Development of the decentralized movement algorithms for the heterogeneous robotic groups”.
