About Kazan (Volga Region) Federal University
Kazan Federal University is one of the oldest universities in Russia and one of the ten federal universities in the country. KFU was founded more than 200 years ago and has 40 years of experience in educating international students
KFU today represents:
more than 300 bachelor's, specialist, master's and postgraduate programs
42096 students studying full-time in the main specializations, of which:
Bachelor's degree/specialization - 35071, Master's degree - 5450, postgraduate studies - 1257, residency - 318.
As of 2022, 8224 foreign students from 102 countries are studying at KFU in the main specializations on a full-time basis, including: bachelor's/specialization studies - 7065, master's studies - 905, postgraduate studies - 222, residency - 32. The main contingent consists of foreign citizens from Central Asia (5 576 people), China (1157 people), African countries (307 people), Latin American countries (127 people), Iran (221 people), India (106 people), Syria (74 people).
