This was the third iteration of the pageant.
The preliminary competition took place from 29th December to 10th February, and the finals began on 12th February. 112 contestants graced the catwalk and talked about themselves. 37 of them were chosen to continue in the pageant proceedings.
On 19th February, it was time for a creative stage, where the participants were invited to show their skills in vocals, dancing, or another original performance.
20th February was the time for speaking. The contestants were given 20 minutes to unravel their argument on a specific topic. This time, it was “Which topic for discussion would you propose during a meeting of the UN General Assembly?” All kinds of pertinent questions were raised, from waste treatment and pollution to smartphone addiction. After the speaking gig, 20 competitors remained in the running.
Several other events, including photo and video shoots and humorous rivalries, followed before the exciting finals on 4th March.
During the finals, some of the previous parts were repeated, including the catwalk demonstration, arts performances, and a culinary show.
The 10 winners of those competed in a trivia quiz.
During the judge panel deliberations, KFU’s vocal and dance teams presented their numbers, and the competitors did a walk in wedding gowns.
Finally, the decisions were made to bestow titles of Miss Photo, Miss Talent, Miss Smile, Miss Charm, Miss Intelligence, Miss Friendship, and Vice Miss.
The Miss KFU prize – for a second year in a row – went to Anastasiya Pugachyova from the Institute of Engineering.
