A delegation visited KFU on 14th November.
The team comprised President of the Huawei European Research Center Zhou Hong, Director of the Moscow Research Center Lǚ Rui, and other employees. KFU was represented by Vice-Rector for Innovation Dmitry Pashin.
This was a continuation of the previous visit in June 2018, when Lǚ Rui expressed interest in research cooperation.
Yesterday's tour covered KFU museums, the Institute of Physics, the Institute of Chemistry, and the Institute of Computational Mathematics and IT.
After the meeting, Dr. Pashin commented that the sides had discussed possible joint labs and a technopark, as well as Huawei's technological applications for electronics, telemedicine, and other areas.
The memorandum of understanding mentions bilateral research cooperation and investment projects. KFU and Huawei agree to seek ways to boost each other's productivity and in digital economy through science and innovation.
On 22nd November, the next delegation will arrive to negotiate work details of a new lab at the Institute of Physics.
