Research and education centers at the Institute of Philology and Intercultural Communication have the following objectives:
- organize and conduct theoretical and experimental research in their respective areas;
- information exchange with other research centers in Tatarstan, other regions of Russia, and abroad;
- assistance in improving the quality of student and postgraduate education in thir respective fields of research;
- involving young researchers (bachelors, masters, graduates, postgraduates) into scholarly activities.
Research and education centers have the following functions:
assistance in the development of educational policies of training, retraining and professional development within in bachelor, specialist, master and doctoral programs;
creation, assessment, implementation, and integration of interdisciplinary educational programs of extended and life-long education in their respective areas;
assistance in organization of conferences, seminars, roundtables, and consultations in their respective areas;
participation in local, republican, federal, and international programs as well as research grants and business projects;
conducting theoretical and experimental research, publication of monographs, syllabi, textbooks, and study guides;
expert evaluation of projects in the areas related to RECs scholarly interests;
creation, assessment, implementation, and integration of higher education programs n their respective areas;
cooperation with Russian and international research and education organizations, research institutes, centers, and ministries of the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tatarstan and other regions of Russia.
The Institute of Philology and Intercultural Communication comprises 4 research and education centers:
