KFU received the 2017 Internationalization of Higher Education Award from the International Universities Networking Conference.
The ceremony was held during IUNC Eurasia 2017 in Moscow. The award is given annually to the universities of Russia and CIS who have shown the best practices in international cooperation and enrolment.
Kazan University has given this particular area of activities much attention. During 2015 – 2016 it implemented a project “Shaping a System of International Student Enrolment as a Factor of Raising the International Reputation of Project 5-100 Universities”. A monograph was issues as a result of this effort, and a number of training sessions on international admissions was held for over 120 employees of 30 leading Russian universities.
Experts of the Eastern European University Association were impressed enough to present the award to KFU this year. International admissions also played a very sizable role in the recent impressive advancement in QS World University Rankings. Overseas students contribute to the enrichment of cultural and social atmosphere in Kazan University and the city as a whole while fulfilling their own dreams and plans for personal and professional growth.
