The climate is moderate-continental, with occasional draughts. Average temperature is -13C during the coldest month of the year (January) and +20C during the warmest month (July). Average annual precipitation is 460-520 mm. Vegetation period lasts about 170 days. Don't forget to bring warm winter clothes if you plan to stay in Kazan between November and April; if bringing warm clothing is impossible or inconvenient, you can buy everything you need in Kazan. The swimming season starts in May or early June.
