Short description of important scientific result: Publication of the monograph "Art Collections in Museums of Tatarstan: History and Principles of Formation (1920-1930s)", dedicated to the study of the history and identification of the features of the formation of art collections of museums of the Kazan province and the TASSR in the 1920-30s, when, in connection with the strengthening of the role of the state in museum construction and the use of a scientific approach to the formation of museum funds, a qualitative change in the composition of art collections of museums occurred and the main directions of development of collecting activities of museums of the republic were determined for many decades to come. The collections of museums of Kazan, Bugulma, Elabuga, Kozmodemyansk, Krasnokokshaisk, Tetyushi, Tsivilsk, Cheboksary, Chistopol are considered. The role of the governing bodies of museum affairs of the Kazan province in the formation of collections of museums not only of the Tatar, but also of other republics of the Volga region
