Short description of important scientific result: The research of territorial differentiation of socio-economic development of a multi-ethnic region (case of the Republic of Tatarstan) for the 1997-2006, 2007-2015 was conducted. A modified mathematical-statistical (index) method for the monitoring and forecasting of territorial differentiation social and economic development of the region was developed. The author proposed the ratio change of the indicators of regional development, which depend on the scenarios of development. A series of GIS maps of territorial differentiation of socio-economic development of intra-regional was introduced.
