senior researcher, candidate of science, associate professor, Head University / Institute of Physics / НИЛ Многофункциональные наноструктуры и кристаллы фотоники для решения фундаментальных задач биомедицины и материаловедения (main)
Alex Klochkov is a senior researcher of of Kazan Federal University. He graduated from Physics Faculty of Kazan State University with excellence in 1996. He finished his PhD in 1999 in Kazan State University (thesis: Magnetic properties of the surface of LiLnF4 compounds at low temperatures). Soon after, he went to The Netherlands as a postdoc, where he worked almost 5 years. The work in Kamerlingh Onnes Laboratory (Leiden University 2000-2001) was on the project “Brute force polarization of rare gases”, main experience received is low temperature equipment. Working with a Solid-State NMR spectroscopy group (Nijmegen University 2002-2003) on the project “Magnetic Resonance Force Microscopy (MRFM)– NMR by mechanical detection” extended his experience in a new methods of NMR. The excellent experience in Magnetic Resonance Imaging has been received, while he worked in the Wageningen NMR Centre (Wageningen University 2003-2004). After 3 postdoc positions he returned to alma mater and continued his scientific career in the NMR field, working in the MRS Lab of Kazan University. He has teached students in various subjects of modern physics and cryogenics, supervising several students. He was a co-supervisor (together with Prof. Murat Tagirov) of scientific research group of students, PhD students and 4 postdocs. Main scientific directions of the group was: NMR and cryogenics equipment development, NMR in solid state, NMR of 3He in contact with porous structures and nanoscale objects, synthesis of nanoscale samples of tri-fluorides, Bose-Einstein condensation of magnons in solid magnetic materials. He is a co-author of more than 60 articles, and 2 patents on invention. 2008-20018 - associate professor at the Quantum electronics and radiospectroscopy department of Institute of Physics of Kazan Federal University. Since 2018 he is a head of The Department of Science and Research of Kazan Federal University. In january 2023 he returned to laboratoray
