Laboratory of Agrobiotechnology
Our research interests include several interconnected projects that focus on the interface of fundamental and applied biology and medicine. We investigate key aspects of pathogenesis and antibiotic resistance of two members of Enterobacteriaceae family, Salmonella and Serratia. We also study the genetic determinants of cellular homeostasis as they relate to molecular basis for different rates of aging among individuals, predisposition to aging-associated diseases and response to stress.
